Alf Rehn is the Chair of Management and Organization at Åbo Akademi University (Finland) and formerly Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden). His research has dealt with subjects as varied as creativity, project management, popular culture, philosophy, boredom, innovation, and luxury, and has been published in both a series of books and a large number of articles. He is in addition to this a popular public speaker and a consultant in the areas of creativity, innovation, strategy and consumer behaviour.

Gunvor Kronman is the director of Hanasaari – the Swedish-Finnish Cultural Center in Espoo since 2003. Kronman has studied philosophy, literature, economics, and African studies. She started her career as a journalist at the Finnish broadcasting company and worked for the Red Cross both in Finland and abroad from 1986-2003. She has been senior advisor to the Nordic Council in Copenhagen in 1994-99, before she was Director for the Finnish Red Cross for four years,
Kronman is a member of several boards in Sweden and Finland.

Ilmar Reepalu is the Lord Mayor of Malmö, Sweden. After a professional career as an architect, specialising in sustainable city planning, he started his political career as a city commissioner in the city of Malmö in 1985. Since 1994 he is the Lord Mayor and chairman of the City Executive Board.
Ilmar Reepalu is vice president of the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions. He is member of the Policy Committee, Council for European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR), substitute member of the Executive Bureau and World Council, United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) and member of the Committee of the Regions and chairman of its Commission for Environment, Climate and Energy (ENVE).

He has acted in different advisory roles to the European Commission; he has coordinated Finnish R&D activities in new energy technologies, and acted as consultant on energy issues to industry, public agencies, and international bodies.

Annika Lindblom works as a senior adviser in the Ministry of the Environment of Finland. Her main duties include designing and coordination of national sustainable development policies, and planning and development of evaluation and monitoring processes for national sustainable development strategies. Lindblom is the deputy secretary general of the Finnish National Commission on Sustainable Development and chair of the national sustainable development indicator network. In international cooperation she is a member of the Nordic Council of Ministers' sustainable development expert group and is involved in the United Nations preparatory work for Rio+20 Conference in 2012. She follows also the work on sustainable development of the Arctic Council.

Professor Karl-Henrik Robèrt, MD, PhD, is cancer scientist and the founder of the NGO The Natural Step (TNS). He is a adjunct professor of sustainable product development at the Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), and the chairman of the international research program Real Change. Prof Robèrt is Fellow of the World Business Academy, Advisory Board Member at Georgia Institute of Technology, USA, and Doctor of Public Service at the University of Portland, USA. In 1999 Dr. Robèrt won the Green Cross Award for International Leadership, and in 2000 he won the Blue Planet Prize, the ‘Nobel prize’ for ecological sustainability. In 2006 he was included in the publication -100 Visionaries of the 20th Century.

Leena Karessuo is currently the Director for the unit of Urban Planning, Infrastructure and Environment in the Finnish Association of Local and Regional Authorities. The unit is responsible for represent-ing the local and regional authorities interests and support them in the fields of sustainable urban planning, housing, sustainable development, environment, building and urban infrastructure. Kares-suo is responsible for the association’s climate change activities, which is one of the association’s strategic priorities. She is also the executive chairman for the “Carbon neutral municipalities” project, member of the board for the Finnish Housing Fair and member of the advisory board for the Transport Agency. Leena Karessuo has studied holds a licentiate in law.
